  7. Election Yard Sign Recycling event

    Don’t throw your election yard signs away when they can be recycled. The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) is hosting a free Election Yard Sign Recycling event on Saturday, November 6, from 8am to Noon to help residents and political campaigns keep signs from entering the landfill and from littering roadways. All paper and plastic signs (including coroplast) and metal stands will be accepted for recycling.

For the November program, Emily Dringenberg, an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Education at The Ohio State University, will explain how racism is embedded in our educational systems through the idea of being "smart." She will also share ways to recognize and disrupt smartness as an oppressive force.
