[ARCHIVED] Worthington Tree City USA

Tree city usa copy

For the 29th year, Worthington has been named a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation to honor this community’s commitment to the urban forest. To become a Tree City USA, a community must meet four standards:

  1. Have a tree advisory board or department
  2. Have a tree care ordinance
  3. Have a comprehensive urban forestry program
  4. Hold an Arbor Day observance

The City of Worthington is encouraging all citizens to plant trees, to improve the quality of the environment and enrich the quality of life in their neighborhoods.
