Olentangy River Road is closed between SR-161 and Snouffer Road for culvert replacement in two locations. The Franklin County Engineers Office is overseeing the road improvement project. The multi-use path will remain open during the construction. The project began in March and was expected to take 90 days. However, there have been weather and utility delays. The Franklin County Engineers office expects the road to reopen by early July.
The project will upgrade 450 feet of Olentangy River Road by replacing two culverts and bridges near Whieldon Lane and Plesenton Drive. The work will begin on the north section near Whieldon lane then shift to the south near Plesenton. Access to the residential streets will be maintained. See detour maps below.
The Franklin County Engineer's Office delivered information to all households living on streets adjacent to Olentangy River Road and is posting updates on social media.
