[ARCHIVED] Olentangy River Road Closing for 90 days

Olentangy River Road Closed 2022

Olentangy River Road will be closed between SR-161 and Snouffer Road beginning the week of March 7 for 90 days (weather permitting) for culvert replacement in two locations. The Franklin County Engineers Office is overseeing the road improvement project. The multi-use path will also be closed for a portion of that time.

The project will upgrade 450 feet of Olentangy River Road by replacing two culverts and bridges near Whieldon Lane and Plesenton Drive. The work will begin on the north section near Whieldon lane. The multi-use path will be closed during the Whieldon Lane work because of its proximity to the work area. The path will reopen when work shifts south to the Plesenton area. Olentangy River Road will be closed for the entire 90 day period. Access to the residential streets will be maintained. See detour maps below.

The Franklin County Engineer's Office delivered information to all households living on streets adjacent to Olentangy River Road and is posting updates on social media.
