April 1, 2020 Update:
The City of Worthington has been notified that OhioHealth is withdrawing its application to rezone the property at the southwest corner of High Street and Larrimer Avenue. The proposed OhioHealth development will not be moving forward at this location.
“Over the years, OhioHealth has had a keen interest in establishing a location in Worthington to provide accessible healthcare to those who live and work in the community. During this time, we have pursued a variety of different locations, the most recent being at the corner of High Street and Larrimer Avenue. After a thorough diligence effort, we will not be moving forward with this specific location. We will be pursuing an alternative in the community and look forward to moving a project forward in the future."

Plans included a 60,000 square foot medical facility to house medical services, including an emergency department, primary care, imaging and a host of specialty services. The project, proposed for the southwest corner of High Street and Larrimer Avenue, was expected to generate more than 100 new jobs.
On behalf of OhioHealth, the Daimler Group, Inc. filed a rezoning application for a small portion of the site. Approximately 85 percent of the site is currently zoned C-3 (commercial.) The remaining portion is zoned either S-1 (special) or R-10 (residential.) The rezoning application has been withdrawn.
The rezoning request was introduced at the March 2, 2020 City Council meeting and referred to the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) for review and discussion. The application had been tabled for discussion at a later meeting. OhioHealth indicated they would submit a proposed development plan and Architectural Review application at a later date.

2016 Background Information about Previous Submission
Preliminary plans have been submitted for the development of an OhioHealth medical office and emergency department on the High Street frontage of the UMCH property currently zoned for commercial office use. The proposal consisted of a two-story, 20,000 square foot medical facility. The facility would house an emergency department on the first floor and medical offices on the second floor.
The proposal was tabled at the February 9, 2017 MPC/ARB meeting without discussion for continuing revision and review at a later date. There were no new updates as of 4/4/18.
