On Monday, March 12 from 5-7p.m. the City of Worthington Parks and Recreation Department will hold a second public open house for residents to view concepts under consideration for renovations to McCord Park.

These concepts have been changed since the open house last September. The focal point of desired feedback is whether to and how to maintain the existing Community Garden into the renovated design along with some of the other desired additions to the park.

The Parks and Recreation Commission identified renovating McCord Park as a priority in their recent overall Parks Master Plan and City Council allocated funds for the planning of improvements to McCord Park. Staff, Commission Members, and the consultants assisting with the plan will be on hand to share concepts being discussed and take feedback from residents. For those unable to attend the open house, concept designs will be on the City’s website beginning at 5 p.m. March 12 through the end of the day on March 14. Residents are welcome to view the concepts on-line and submit comments during those times. If you have any questions, please call Worthington Parks and Recreation at 614-436-2743.

The Open House will be held at the Community Center in the lobby.
