Bicycle Registration

Bicycle Theft

Bicycle theft is a common occurrence. Each year, the Police Department recovers hundreds of bikes that typically never get returned to their owners. This is primarily because we have no way to identify owners and, in some cases, verify who the owner is. For criminals, the increasing cost of bikes also provides appeal for the resale of stolen bikes. For ways to protect your bicycle, view these bicycle theft prevention tips.

How to Register

Registration of bicycles is available for any Worthington resident. This process is simple and can help deter bicycle theft. To register your bicycle, complete the Registration Form and bring it to the Police Department to receive a registration sticker. Forms are also available at the Police Department, 6555 Worthington-Galena Rd., Worthington, OH 43085

Changes in Ownership

Please notify the division if bicycle ownership changes, so we can update our files on a regular basis. Should ownership be transferred to another Worthington resident, we can make a notation in our records. You can then provide your receipt to the new owner.
