Requesting a House Watch
The Police Department offers a vacation house watch program for Worthington residents. You may contact the department at (614) 885-4463 prior to a vacation or business trip and request that a patrol car make periodic checks of your home while you are away.
Submit House Check Request Form
You can also complete a House Check Request Form and submit it to the department at:
6555 Worthington-Galena Rd.
Worthington, OH 43085
Fax: (614) 885-6833
Ways to Protect Your Home
Any time that your home will be unoccupied for a period of time, remember to arrange to have music and lights turned on by timers at varying times while you're away. Have grass cut in the summer, snow shoveled in the winter and mail and newspapers picked up or cancelled so that it's not obvious that everyone is away.
Block Watches
Remember, even with the police watching your home, good neighbors are the best defense against criminal activity. Get to know your neighbors, and watch out for each other! For more information about how to organize a block watch for your neighborhood, please contact Community Services Officer Tammy Floyd at (614) 436-8634.
