The Division of Fire & EMS is occasionally asked if a fire truck can visit a school or neighborhood block party. All requests of this type must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event, via the administrative line at 614-885-7640.
Emergency runs take priority over all other events, so even with a scheduled visit you could end up with no truck being able to attend your activity. It is recommended you always have a backup plan ready in case we are unable to be at your site during the requested time frame.
When you call, please have the following information at hand:
- Type of event
- Date
- Estimated number of attendees
- Start and end times of event
- Location
- Attendee age range
