Fire & EMS
Overview
The Fire and EMS Division fire protection district includes Worthington, Sharon Township, Perry Township, and the Village of Riverlea. (Do you live or work in our district?) Our three primary service delivery categories are operations, EMS & community risk reduction, and administration. Examples of specific services are planning and readiness, fire suppression, rescue, EMS, hazardous materials response, fire prevention, inspections, fire investigations, and public education. The division is staffed with 40 full-time and 10 part-time personnel.
101
The "101" on our apparatus, crew and equipment represents our unique fire station designation within central Ohio for all incident responses. This is both a critical means of maintaining emergency scene accountability and a source of internal pride in our heritage.
