The 99 acre linear Olentangy River Parklands follows the Olentangy River for nearly two miles. The park's major features and activities include the bikeway, fishing, play equipment areas, six lighted tennis courts, four soccer fields and a fitness course.

The large, stately trees and many areas of wild flowers, as well as the many natural areas of the park, create a quiet, peaceful, natural getaway from the normal, busy life. The park provides a home for many animals and birds.
The park was built in two phases in 1977 and 1981 and was funded partly by the Land and Water Conservation Funds.
