McCord Park

The 25 acre active McCord Park site was the first city facility purchased and built for a specific use - baseball, soccer and softball. The five diamonds and four soccer fields are used and maintained by the City's Parks Maintenance Crew and schedules use by permits to youth and adult groups.

A new neighborhood play equipment area has been constructed with a rubberized safety surface. The location provides access to adjoining residents and park users. The park has had major renovations on 1988, 1990 and 1994.

Plans are presently being made to install an in-ground irrigation system at this park site.
