Bicycle Registration

The Worthington Division of Police will begin bike registration on April 28th, 2008. Registration of bicycles is available for any Worthington resident. Registration online can expedite the process by clicking here for the on-line bicycle registration form. Complete the form and bring it to the police department, along with the $2 registration fee, to receive a receipt and registration sticker. Registration can also be completed by completing a form at the department. This process is simple and can help deter bicycle theft.  Please bring your bike at the time of registration. Registration is limited between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Why Register My Bike?

Bicycle theft is a common occurrence. Each year the division recovers hundreds of bikes which typically never get returned to their owners. This is due primarily because we have no way to identify owners and in some cases verify who the owner is. The increasing costs of bikes also provides appeal for the resale of stolen bikes.

Who Can Register Their Bicycles?

Registration is open to residents of Worthington.

How Much Does It Cost To Register My Bicycle?

There is a two dollar fee per bicycle.

What If Ownership Changes?

Please notify the division if bicycle ownership changes so we can update our files on a regular basis. Should ownership be transferred to another Worthington resident we can make a notation in our records and you can provide the new owner with your receipt.

If you have any questions, contact Officer Tammy Floyd at (614) 885-4463 or e-mail.
