The TriFit Challenge triathlon is a point-to-point triathlon starting with a swim in Antrim Lake, a bike race to Ohio Stadium, and finally a run through the campus of The Ohio State University. The bike portion of the race, which previously traveled down High Street, has changed course to stay on the west side of SR-315.
The Tri Fit Challenge triathlon is a point-to-point
triathlon starting with a swim in Antrim Lake, a bike race through Worthington
to Ohio Stadium, and finally a run through the campus of The Ohio State
University.
The bike portion of the race has changed. Instead of traveling down High Street, the bicyclists will travel north on Olentangy River Road, west on Wilson Bridge Road and south on Linworth Road. The bike portion of the race is expected to take place between 7:15am and 8:45am. All churches, residents and businesses along the race route in
the City of Worthington will be notified by event organizers, however the
City of Worthington wants to make residents aware of possible traffic
restrictions that could affect your access. Signs will be posted at neighborhood
entrances to alert residents of possible traffic delays.
Police officers and course marshals will be stationed at
key intersections and will maintain traffic flow. There may be brief periods
where vehicular traffic will be delayed while the racers cross intersections or
private driveways. Drivers are asked to use extreme caution if they are driving
in the area the morning of the race as bicyclists will be in the roadway.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this
upcoming event.
