McCord Park Playground Design Open House

The City of Worthington Parks and Recreation Department will hold a public open house for residents to view the current design under consideration for the replacement of the existing McCord Park playground.  This is the playground that is adjacent to Northigh Drive on the west side of the park.  City Council approved a Conceptual Master Plan for the renovation of McCord Park in 2018.  One of the features identified for replacement was the existing playground in this location.

The city has been working with a local firm, POD Design, to create a drafted layout for the playground based on community input and are now seeking feedback from the community before finalizing plans.  Parks and Recreation Commission Members, staff, and POD Design will be on hand to share the plans and take input from residents.  We encourage parents to bring their children.  For those unable to attend the open house, designs will be on the City’s website beginning January 22 and throughout the day on January 23.  Residents are welcome to view the concepts on-line and submit comments during those times.

If you have any questions, please call Worthington Parks and Recreation at 614-436-2743.
