Columbia Gas will be starting a gas line replacement project in Worthington. Work is expected to begin Monday, September 9th and will impact about 210 residents.
Customers are invited to attend an open house to learn more. The event will take place at the Griswold Center, 777 High Street, Worthington on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:00 p.m.
The work area is roughly bounded by Short Street on the north, Olentangy Boulevard on the west, Winter Drive on the south and Oxford Court on the east. A majority of the construction work will be occurring on South Street and Evening Street.
The work and clean-up are expected to be completed by winter of 2019.
Columbia Gas of Ohio has invested more than $1.5 billion in communities around the state to replace aging gas lines over the last decade. This is paying off in safety, with leaks reduced by nearly 40 percent.
