Mirolo Pavilion Beautification Project

Saturday, September 14, 2019

The Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club is partnering with the City of Worthington and the Worthington Schools to complete a beautification and educational garden project at the Mirolo Pavilion on the grounds of Thomas Worthington High School near the Olentangy Trail. The club is inviting community members to join club members on Saturday, September 14, to install a shade garden and restore sections of the previously developed rain and prairie gardens. Food and refreshments will be provided during the day.

The Community Relations Commission awarded the club a $500 grant for this project as part of its 2019 Make Worthington Greener grant program.

Teams of volunteers will work on the gardens and on other tasks in 1-1/2 hour shifts, starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m. Food and refreshments will be provided during the day. There will also be activities for young children so parents can be part of the garden work teams. Club member Mike Mouton, who is a landscape designer/horticulturalist and has designed the gardens, will oversee the project.

To sign up to be a volunteer, go to: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D45AEAA2EABFF2-mirola. The deadline to register is Thursday, September 12. For questions, contact John Butterfield, club president, https://dublinworthingtonrotary.org/contact-us/.
